I’m a sucker for weird books. Consciousness alteration … neurolinguistic programming … time travel … psychedelic elves … secret codes written on the fabric of reality? I love them all. Anything to dissolve whatever boundaries define my current reality tunnel…
My go-to weird book at the moment is Andrew Gallimore’s Alien Information Theory, which ties together psychedelics, neurobiology, and simulation theory to present a unified theory of everything that is constructed and can be constructed … or at least alterable. It feels like an alien book from one of the author’s orthogonal dimensions, and perhaps it is. The psychedelic nature of the author and the content explode into pages of bright, colorful diagrams which explain the neurobiological details of his ontology. Much of his theory is over my head, but the impact of Andrew’s creation remains ever-present, as do the ideas he presents within the text.
The impact of AIT led me to follow his public work over the last few years, where he made connections with psychedelic philosopher Peter Sjostedt-Hughes and other notable scholars. Now, he is unveiling his latest project, Reality Switch Technologies: Psychedelics as Tools for the Discovery and Exploration of New Worlds. This 275 page book is a detailed explanation of “how psychedelic molecules interface with the human brain, alter the structure and dynamics of the experienced world, and rapidly and efficiently switch the brain’s reality channel, opening up a vast number of alternate worlds for discovery and explanation.”
To better understand this deep dive and promote Gallimore’s work to other weirdos, heads, geeks, and curious explorers, I will be hosting a reading group for the book on the Reality Tunnels Discord Workshop. At each biweekly meeting, we will discuss each chapter read in order. Each chapter is about 20-30 pages long, except for the first which is about 10. We will meet every other Thursday from 8pm-9pm EST in the workshop.
Dates:
Chapter 1 - 10/20
Chapter 2 - 11/3
Chapter 3 - 11/17
Chapter 4 - 12/1
Chapter 5 - 12/15
Chapter 6 - 12/29
Chapter 7 - 1/12
Chapter 8 - 1/26
Chapter 9 - 2/9
Chapter 10 - 2/23
Chapter 11 - 3/9
Chapter 12 - 3/23
Chapter 13 - 4/6
Chapter 14 - 4/20
If you’d like to join our reading group, check in at the workshop and we’ll meet at the next scheduled time. The author says that only a basic understanding of biology is needed for consumption.

I’m hoping for a fun gathering of interesting humans to translate this alien text.
Take care.
Stay weird.
I love the book =)
already read it twice, it leaves me in awe at complexity of single neuron, much less the whole brain...
